Research Group in Plant Physiology

The Research Group in Plant Physiology is studying the effects of abiotic stresses on plants and the resistance mechanisms that they can put in place to cope with them. An interdisciplinary approach considers the impact of mineral toxicities (salinity and heavy metals), hydric stress and high temperatures on various cultivated and non-domesticated plant species, taking into account the entire plant growth and development cycle. The aim is to improve our knowledge of the plant world under stress through fundamental research, and to help identify more effective material for agricultural production or management of environmental problems through applied research.
